Protect Your Account with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Add an extra layer of security to your account with multi-factor authentication (MFA). Once set up, you'll use an authenticator app alongside your password each time you log in.
Setting Up MFA
The next time you log in, you'll be prompted to set up MFA. Follow the on-screen steps to scan a QR code with your authenticator app. Once complete, you'll receive a set of backup codes.
Important: Backup codes are only shown once. Be sure to download or copy them immediately: once you navigate away, they cannot be retrieved again.
Logging In with MFA
After the initial setup, each login will require a verification code from your authenticator app in addition to your password.
Lost Access to Your Authenticator App?
If you don't have your verification code handy, you can log in using one of your backup codes instead.
Managing MFA
You can manage your MFA settings at any time, including turning it off, removing your authenticator, or refreshing your backup codes. To access these options:
- Go to your profile (your initials in a circle at the top right of a page), then select Security. (Note: this page manages MFA for your individual user, even though it appears under account-level settings.)
To refresh your backup codes, enter your current MFA verification code, or use one of your existing backup codes, to generate a new set. Just like before, make sure to save the new codes right away, as they'll only be displayed once.
Tip: Consider saving your backup codes in a password manager so they're securely stored and easy to retrieve if needed.
